The 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport

The 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport is a little bigger than most subcompact SUVs. It brings a new option that can also replace the fast-moving Rogue crossover. This vehicle model is only a year old.  Therefore we're unlikely to see significant changes in the 2019 version. The Sport model is much smaller than Rogue model which is affordable, has tasteful design, is comfy and has great fuel economy. In short, it is more family-oriented. The Sport is more compact and very appealing to youthful buyers.

How is the exterior and interior design?

Compared to the larger Rogue, the Rogue Sport has a more modern and sportier look. The Rogue Sport is the kind of vehicle you should drive with colored shades on your face and chains on your neck while you’re blasting Ludacris’ song Act a fool. On the rear, it offers a sporty bumper as well as sleek taillights. The front side will come with angular headlamps and the famous V-motion grille. The dashboard will offer an infotainment system on a 5.0-inch touchscreen. The vehicle provides standard features that include: cloth upholstery, 4-speaker audio system, a rearview camera, USB, 16-inch wheels, and Bluetooth. In addition to these, the higher trims offer automatic headlamps, keyless ignition, 6-speaker audio system, roof rails, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch wheels, among other features. The Tech package will offer blind-spot monitors, navigation, Android Auto connectivity, bigger 7.0-inch touchscreen, satellite radio and Apple CarPlay, and many more.

Who are the Rogue's main competitors?

"Move bit**, get out the way, get out the way……" This Ludacris song that perfectly depicts how the Rogue Sport has been shoving rivals on its path to achieving the bragging rights of having the best sales. As it stands, the current iteration has better sales than its competitors and it brags of being the most popular compact-crossover in the market. The 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport will have to hit the gym so that it can outmuscle it main competitors that include: the GMC Terrain, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Renegade, Jeep Cherokee, Chevrolet Equinox, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-5, Ford Escape, Subaru Forester, Chevrolet Trax, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson.

How does it perform?

The 2019 version will use the current model’s engine. It is a 141 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 147 lb-ft of torque. The power is either sent to all wheels or the front wheels because the vehicle has a continuously variable transmission. The all-wheel-drive offers approximately 24/30 mpg in the city/highway. The front-wheel-drive system delivers 32 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city.

How much will the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport cost?

There is no concrete information from Nissan regarding the pricing and release date of their latest Sport model. The current model ranges from $22,615 to $30,115. We predict that it will have a starting price of approximately $22,500. We also predict that the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport will be available in the market in December 2018.

What can we look forward to?

It is unfortunate that it is only the top-level trim that offers the very expensive automatic emergency braking. Nissan is yet to honor its promise of adding it as a no-cost feature. However, it is highly likely that this feature might be introduced in the course of the year.
