Underneath all that is a brand new frame and new aluminum body that shaves 300 pounds off the weight of the SUV. The overall length of the already huge SUV has been extended to 210 inches with a 122.5-inch wheelbase. The 2018 Ford Expedition Max model is 9 inches longer than the other trim levels.
Ford didn't neglect the interior of the 2018 Expedition. The infotainment display screen is larger, and you can get the SYNC 3 infotainment system. They made the circular air vents bigger, too. They changed the vertical shifter to a rotary knob, and the steering wheel design has been updated with more substantial hand grips.
