The 2019 BMW Z4

I am a Lil Wayne fan and to tell the truth; the 2019 BMW Z4 reminds me of his album that will be dropping in a few days after being delayed by his label for six years! BMW has made us wait for the production version of this vehicle for a long time. In 2017, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance was used to launch the concept. The new 2019 BMW Z4 does not defy gravity like the concept. But it still features a striking design that maintains important design details. Unlike the concept, it has much tamer lower vents and a mesh grille design. On the other hand, the roadster has features that are very similar to the concept; they include a long clamshell hood, narrow taillights, a rear lip spoiler, side gills, rounded back end, a low center of gravity and bold body lines across the doors.

What does it add?

The 2019 BMW Z4 adds black mirror caps, adaptive LED headlights, a Frozen Orange Metallic paint color, Harman Kardon surround sound system, two-tone design 19-inch alloy wheels, two high-resolution digital displays, and a head-up display.

What is under the hood?

A six-cylinder turbocharged 3.0-liter engine is what powers this roadster. The production model is yet to be finalized, but one prototype produced 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. That is better than the original Z4 sDrive35is which made 335 hp and 332 lb-ft. The 2019 BMW Z4 also has M Sport Brakes and an M-tuned sport suspension to match with its powerful engine. According to the automaker, you should expect 60 mph in less than 4.4 seconds when you buy the new Z4 M40i roadster.

What does the interior offer?

The Z4 has a cabin that is very similar to the recent upgrades of the BMW interiors. A taller and wider center console separates the passenger and driver compartments. This sporty roadster is sportier than Tiger Woods, and Steph Curry combined. It has a wider center stack that is specially made to suit the driver; it offers better access to the infotainment system and improved access to the controls. The interior boasts of a Revised Infotainment Display, Head-Up Display, a new Instrument Cluster, Leather Upholstery and Sports Seats.

How much will I spend?

BMW is yet to release the official price of the 2019 BMW Z4, but we expect it to come with a higher price than the outgoing Z4 because it is slightly bigger than it. The 2019 version could go for a minimum of $55,000 before options putting into consideration that the current version retails from $49,700. The powerful engine and an extra trim could even see it go for more than $65,000.

What else should I know?

The new 2019 BMW Z4 will come with a new platform that is similar to the one used by the revived Toyota Supra. The aluminum and steel design adopts electrical components, suspension and a chassis from BMW’s CLAR platform which has been used in the new X3, X4, X5 as well as the latest 5-, 3- and 7- Series.

The new Z4 is also known by the codename G29. Early rumors suggested that the Z4 would offer four-wheel drive as an option, but the company has confirmed that it will only be available with rear-wheel drive.
