The Stunning Kia Stinger

Kia has introduced the new Stinger with the aim of making a statement in order to raise perceptions of the brand. The company seems to be in the mood of throwing a punch at its competitors. I mean, they have even given it a new nickname --the four-door fastback. This is the most striking and aggressive design that the company has ever produced. It has performance optimized for the Nürburgring, a twin-turbo V6 engine, and rear-wheel drive. It is an awesome vehicle, especially the GTS version which has an entertaining and capable engine. The Kia Stinger is a good purchase. It offers plenty of features, an awesome drive, great looks as well as plenty of space for carrying luggage and four adults.

Which vehicles will the Kia Stinger be competing with?

The Korean firm that manufactures Kia has put its best foot forward, but it is aware that it will be facing stiff competition from the same old suspects like Audi's A5 Sportback, the Volkswagen Arteon, and the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe. The 2018 Kia Stinger is probably one step ahead of them in the aesthetics department.

Which features are available in the Kia Stinger?

The vehicle is the first version to come with a head-up display system as well as audio details, navigation and projecting speed on to the windscreen in order to ensure that the driver always keeps his or her eyes on the road. It is also the first time that Kia has fitted an electrically adjustable steering column. Other features include: a mobile phone link through the Android Auto systems or Apple CarPlay and an eight-inch touchscreen with sat-nav.

The 2018 Kia Stinger comes with plenty of quality safety features that include: blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, autonomous emergency braking(which reacts accordingly if it senses an imminent collision), an active bonnet pops up slightly to reduce the impact on a pedestrian in case of a collision. Also, an oncoming car will provoke flicks from the high beam assist.

What does the interior have to offer?

The elongated wheelbase and side profile mean that the rear seats of the Kia Stinger offer plenty of legroom. However, taller back-seat occupants will notice something of a premium on headroom thanks to the swooping roofline.

What is under the hood of the Kia Stinger?

Being that this is Kia's most ambitious model, it should come as no surprise that the manufacturers have molded it from an evolution of the Hyundai Genesis platform. It uses either a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 or a 2.0-liter turbo four engine to pump power to the rear wheels. The V-6 engine produces 365 HP and 376 lb-ft in the top GT trim while the turbo four produces 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The V-6 only needs 4.7 seconds to hit zero to 60 mph.

How can the ride be described?

The steering is reasonably direct, machinery whirs in relative harmony, the brake pedal is firm, and the suspension rides well. The vehicle boasts of plenty of thrust thanks to its twin-turbo V-6 engine. However, you might notice a little boot lag at lower speeds and from rest. It has a comfortable interior, and it is quite fast.
