We all know that in the fantasy lands of entertainment and professional sports people’s egos and bank accounts tend to inflate faster than a starlet’s bust line. Unfortunately for many, the money goes away, but they are too busy glamming it up to realize that their income is going down. This often leads them to make poor choices when it comes to picking the rides they buy. After all, a $30 thousand Chevy gets you where you need to go just like 300K Ferrari. You just might not look as good getting there. If these C-list celebs get where they can’t afford gas and upkeep on the rides they have spent their money on, at least they can look good polishing the tires.

British actress Kimberley Garner is best known across the pond as a model and swimwear designer, all of which has made here a nice bit of change in the last few years. Then again, when you are paying taxes in England and living large things can get out of hand quickly. Kimberley currently reports having a net worth of just over one million U.S. dollars with over two hundred thousand of that being tied up in a Ferrari California.
With a 666 hp twin-turbo V-8, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and zero to 60 mph times under 3 seconds the McLaren 650S is one of sweetest rides to come out of England in some time. Then again if you are Tara Reid and haven’t exactly been burning up the box office in about twenty years its $250,000 price tag may not have made it the best choice for a daily driver. This makes the car a full 25% of the actress’s net worth and doesn’t take into consideration the costs of upkeep.
Once residing at the top of the A-List, Lindsay Lohan’s fall from grace has been well documented and widely publicized. There is little doubt that at one time she would have been able to afford any car on the market, but hefty drug habits, lawyer bills, and diminishing earning power can quickly drain anyone’s bank account. At the last reporting, her net worth had fallen to 800K half of which was accounted for by the Rolls-Royce Phantom she regularly drives to her rehab appointments.
Spencer Pratt is a reality television star and movie director who first came to prominence on the show The Hills an went on to direct such gems as Tower 69: Malibu Beach Patrol and Recon Challenge. All of this raw talent has built him a tidy fortune reported to be in the area of $40 thousand about 30K of which is accounted for by his classic 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS. If you need to live in your car, do it with style.
Once one of the most dominant and highly paid players in the NBA, the bad boy of basketball is living proof that athletic ability and intelligence aren’t always bedfellows. According to the latest numbers, Rodman’s lavish lifestyle and globetrotting ways have reduced his fortune to a mere half-million dollars. Sadly, it seems that not even experience can teach him a lesson as he just went into hock for 300K on a new Rolls-Royce Phantom this year.
Janice Dickinson is the epitome of everything that makes a C-lister what they are. She was almost a supermodel though she claimed to be the first, she was almost a famous actress though she rarely made it past one episode of any show and she almost made it as a writer and producer, her vision ended with her own ego. From politics to performing the only thing of value she seems to have ever produced was a rise in Mercedes stock when she plunked down 400K plus for a new Maybach 57 S.
Micheal Ray Stevenson, better known by his professionally name Tyga, is a man who definitely not afraid to try new things in the pursuit of fame and fortune. He is best known as a rapper but has also done standup comedy and appeared in television shows and movies. His most successful role to date though was his stint as part of the Kardashian train where he dated Kylie Kenner and kept her smiling long enough to receive a spanking new Bentley Bentayga for his services.
Up and down seems to be a common theme with Pamela Anderson as she has bounced from A-list to C-list and back more often than her chest on the Baywatch opening sequence. Her financial woes are well documented though as she has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection more than once. Still, things must not have gotten to bad as she is still able to cruise to her favorite plastic surgeon’s office for her next augmentation/reduction in a Jaguar XKR.
Further proof that brains and brawn aren’t always found in the same place is former NFL Defensive Lineman, Super Bowl winner and future Hall of Famer Warren Sapp. In 2003, Warren signed a seven-year contract worth a whopping $36.6 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was only able to finish four years. Still, he should have been able to have banked a lot of cash, but bad business decisions and several questionable lawsuits have left us wondering if he can really afford to drive a Rolls-Royce Wraith.
For his drop-dead funny standup routines and neoclassic comedy movies, Chris Tucker has got to be considered one of the greatest comedians of his generation, but apparently comic genius and business adeptness aren’t the same things. Trusting the wrong people left Chris not only short on liquid assets but owing Uncle Sam a whopping $14 million. Things can’t be to bad though as he still drives an Aston Martin DB9 and is often seen enjoying the more sedate side of Hollywood life.
In the heyday of Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin was being paid $22,500 from each episode of the TLC Channel show. That may sound like a lot of money, but when you are raising ten kids, there is never any such thing as having enough cash on hand. That has left many to wonder how and for that matter why Kate would drop the ching-ching for a two-seat Audi TT; there have been some rumors that it was part of a promotional deal but for who is yet to be brought to light.
Some are born C-listers, some aspire to be one. The late-night marketing guru behind the Girls Gone Wild DVD series is just a lucky smuck. There is little question that Joe made a pile of money off of his soft porn offerings but not enough to support the A-list lifestyle he aspired to. Legal and financial problems quickly mounted and at last report Joe Francis had fled to live in Mexico only taking cash and his beloved Ferrari 360 Spider with him.
Released in May of 2007 "Beautiful Girls" by Jamaican born Sean Kingston has remained one of the top all-time most requested songs in radio history. Unfortunately for one-hit-wonder Sean, the huge success of his first release quickly went to his head and had him living the high life like a big dog. According to the most recent accounts he currently still owns a snow-white Mercedes-Benz GLC-GLASS, but all of the other vehicles that he added to his stable have been repossessed due to lack of payment.
The idea of a child star going from A-list to C-list and falling on hard financial times isn’t exactly a new theme in show business. Hilary Duff first hit it big as the star of the Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire show from 2001-2004 and had some small success as a singer immediately afterward, but that is where it ended. That has left many to wonder how she can still afford to drive a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen even with hubby’s money to back her up.
Apparently, all it takes to be a C-list celebrity in the United States is to have a famous last name. Still, Paris has somehow managed to eke out enough of an income from her notoriety to buy a Bentley Continental GT. Rumor has it that she had to make the purchase through an agent as the company didn’t want her as a customer and even then the car had to be repainted as Bentley refused to build a pink car.
