The Regal sedan is gone. It has been replaced with two new Regals: the Regal Sportback and the Regal TourX.

The Regal Sportback is a roomy, four-door coupe-hatchback with a slightly longer wheel-base than the old Regal sedan. It looks like a coupe, but it has a hatchback opening. The back seats fold flat to create 60.7 cubic feet of cargo space. If you leave the back seats in place, there are 31.5 cubic feet of cargo area in the back. The starting price on the Sportback ranges from $25,915 to 39,990.

There are five trim levels available for the Regal Sportback. They are the basic Regal, the Preferred, the Preferred II, the Essence and the high-performance Regal GS. You can get the Sportback with either an all-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

The Regal TourX is a station wagon that is a full 3.4" longer than the old sedan. With the rear seats folded flat, the TourX has 73.5 cubic feet of cargo area. It is available in the basic TourX, Preferred and Essence trims. The TourX is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-L engine as the lower Sportback trims. Base price for the TourX ranges from $29,995 to 35,945.
