Best and Worst Cars Driven by Celebrity Couples

It isn’t unusual to see celebrity types hooking-up with other celebrities. After all, considering the crazy schedules that most people in showbusiness keep and the constant scrutiny they live under it would be almost impossible for someone not in The Biz to be able to adapt. It also isn’t uncommon for A-List families to drop a lot of money on their rides. For some super couples, like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, car collecting is almost an obsession. Surprisingly though, not all top tier stars feel the need or even have the desire to own the latest and greatest rides out there. They are happy to just putter along in the same car that any average Joe might be found driving.

14Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

Both Kanye and Kim are confirmed motorheads, and they own literally dozens of vehicles that are drool-worthy, so picking one ride to feature out of the Double K stable is like trying to find that one perfect grain of sand on the beach. If we had a gun to our heads though our favorite would be Kanye’s supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 engine powered Mercedes SLR that can deliver 3.4 second 0-to-60 times and has a top speed just shy of 210 mph. Currently valued at over $700,000 this car only saw limited production from 2003 to 2010.

13David and Victoria Beckham

Even if David was never able to complete a full season without a doctor’s assistance, there is no doubt that he and his Spice Girl wife Victoria developed very healthy bank accounts. Among their selection of classy rides are a Porsche Turbo, a Bentley Mulsanne, a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, a Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV and the car that seems to be their favorite a Rolls Royce Cullinan Vogue SUV. Fashionista Victoria is rumored to have worked with the R/R design team in creating the vehicles distinctive interior.

12Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Having been married since 1988 without a breath of scandal Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are anything, but your typical Hollywood couple and their car collection is just as different as they are. You won’t find any of the normal Rolls Royces or hypercars that are so much in fashion among the elite. What you will find is a very limited edition all-electric Scion xB SUV and a Polish built Fiat 126p that was given to them by a village in Poland when they learned that Tom had an affinity for the tiny car.

11Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

They say that a good woman can turn a man’s life around and it seems Jessica Biel is a hell of a woman. Justin was once regularly featured in the trash mags for his outlandish antics, but since hooking up Jess, he seems to have settled down into the life of a family man. They have several sweet rides like a Hummer H3 and an Audi A8 executive car, but their pride and joy seems to be a 1960s Pontiac GTO convertible complete with button and tuck black leather interior, a 3-inch exhaust cooler, and custom Crager rims.

10Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld

With an estimated net worth of $950 million, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jerry and his author wife Jessica own what is purported to be the second most valuable car collection in the U.S., second only to Jay Lenos. Exactly what all it contains is a constantly shifting list but in his last interview on the subject, he did admit to owning 46 Porches including a 2000 Porsche Carrera GT prototype and a 1949 356/2 along with a Lamborghini Miura and over 100 fully restored classics.

9Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

When you see Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, they do not appear to be your average gearheads, but you would be surprised at the depth of their knowledge when it comes to cars. Among their more noted auto purchases have been a Porsche 911 Targa 4S edition with a price tag north of $100k, an iconic Porsche 993 and the granddaddy of all modern luxury SUVs, an all original 1983 Land Rover Defender valued at $160,000.

8Christian Bale and Sibi Blazic

To show just how much of what you see on the screen is pure fantasy, as Bruce Wayne, Christian Bale drives a Ferrari and the Batmobile and his supermodel wife wears nothing but the top designer labels on the runway. In real life, they are most often seen riding in a beat-up Toyota Tacoma that is several years past its prime and wearing blue jeans or leathers. The reason for this is simple; both Christian and Serbian born Sibi are avid dirt bikers and need the truck to haul their toys and riding gear around.

7Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin

Where do you find love when most of the world thinks you’re a self-entitled, overrated brat? Simple, find a girl from a family where everyone is as big an egomaniac as you are. Apparently, not even a Mercedes is strong enough to haul both a Bieber and Baldwin ego around at the same time as the couple was recently seen broken down in their Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Maybe they should have taken the JBiebs' Fisker Karma electric supercar but then again with a rang under 100 miles it probably couldn’t get there.

6Warren Buffett and Astrid Banks

They may not be the quintessential super couple, but when the worlds richest investor is married to the head of the world’s second-largest philanthropic organization, you can’t deny they are a power couple to the nth degree. Their vehicle of choice is a 2014 Cadillac XTS that Buffet expects to last him at least another decade. As he has often been quoted, “You don’t get rich buying things you don’t need.”

5Jay-Z and Beyoncé

With a combined net worth well over a billion, Mr. and Mrs. Carter, as Jay-Z and Beyoncé refer to themselves, are the one L.A. couple who might just outspend Kanye and Kim when it comes to buying cars. Their collection includes a limited edition 1957 C1 Corvette and a super-quick Pagani Zonda F supercar. Their favorite though is reported to be the $1 million Rolls Royce Silver Cloud convertible that Jay-Z bought the Queen B for her 25th birthday.

4Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

It is not unusual to hear Hollywood types spouting off about how we all need to be riding bicycles to save the planet while the run to their stretch limo and head off to catch their private jets but not all show biz people are hypocrites. You won’t see tinsel town royalty Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes outrunning the Paparazzi in a supercar. Instead, they drive an environmentally-friendly Toyota Prius to all but the most glamorous events.

3George and Amal Clooney

It took an internationally recognized human rights lawyer to convince confirmed Hollywood bachelor George Clooney he should be fair to the women of the world and get married, namely to her. One of the reasons George claims they get along so well is that she supports his hobby of collecting unusual and eccentric vehicles. The pride of his highly varied collection is a two-seat Tango 600 electric commuter car that boasts 0 to 60 mph in 3.2-second performance and turns a 1/4-mile in 12.214 seconds.

2Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

To most people the star quarterback and his supermodel wife might appear to be a highly conservative couple tooling around in their Jeep Grand Cherokee, BMW X5 or hybrid Cadillac Escalade put don’t let them fool you. While they are devoted parents who like big safe SUVs for family times, they have a wilder side that they will turn lose once in a while. For mommy daddy date nights, they own a 5.2 Liter V-12 powered Aston Martin DB11, and a $1.7 million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

1Conan and Liza O'Brien

Saving the worst for last; you might expect a late-night talk show host with a net worth approaching $100 million and his actress wife to drive some pretty snazzy wheels, but you would be sadly mistaken. Liza was last seen driving the much-maligned Acura TL, one of the ugliest cars on the market, but that is still a huge step up from Conan’s favorite ride; a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO. Further proof that a Harvard education ain’t what it used to be.
