The top six luxury sedans of boast powerful engines, luxury interiors, and the latest technology. They all handle well, although some are a bit more agile and athletic while others offer a smoother ride. Genesis landed on the list again with the G80. The G90 was one of the top 2018 cars. Audi remained on the list with the A6, and the BMW 5-series held onto its place as well. Lexus also made the cut again with the GS. Is the Lexus GS one of the best luxury sedans on the market?

The Lexus GS is high on the list of the top six luxury sedans. It is available with a gas-powered engine or a gas and electric hybrid combination. The GS is a five-passenger sedan with plenty of room for everybody to ride comfortably. The interior is well appointed with lots of high-end materials. It offers a smooth, quiet ride and great handling that makes it a joy to drive. You can get the GS with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. There are three gas-powered engines available for the GS. The base four-cylinder turbocharged engine offers adequate power for most drivers. A naturally aspirated V6 comes under the hood of the GS 350. The GS F comes with a 467-hp V8 engine under the hood. Does Audi make a decent sedan?

The Audi A6 is one of the top luxury five-passenger sedans. Its interior is incredibly luxurious and has plenty of space for passengers in the front and back seats. The A6’s handling is agile and athletic, making it lots of fun to drive through twists and turns. It is available with either AWD or FWD. The base engine is a 250-hp turbocharged four-cylinder with plenty of power for this midsize sedan. How good is the Mercedes-Benz E-class sedan?

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is one of the top six luxury sedans this year. Is the Genesis G80 a five-passenger sedan?

Yes. In fact, the Genesis G80 is the second best five-passenger luxury sedan, according to U.S. News & World Report. Even the base trim is luxuriously appointed with heated, leather-upholstered front seats. Higher trims come with heated rear seats, ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The G80 is roomy, but there isn’t enough headroom in the rear seat for tall passengers. This luxury sedan is designed for comfort rather than athleticism. It is available with RWD or AWD. The standard engine is a 311-hp V6 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It provides more than enough get-up-and-go for the average driver. The two more powerful engines are a 365-hp twin-turbocharged V6 and a 420-hp V8. The G80 gets 15 to 19 mpg in the city and 23 to 27 mpg on the highway.
