Does Mazda make a convertible that costs less than $30,000?

The Mazda MX-5 Miata is one of the best 2018 convertibles for less than $30,000. It made Car and Driver's 10 Best and Editors' Choice lists and is one of U.S. News & World Report's #1 Sports Cars. Suggested MSRP for a 2018 MX-5 Miata Sport is $25,295. The Miata Club starts out at $29,155. It comes with a nine-speaker Bose audio system, heated seats, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. This is a two-passenger convertible that comes with a 155-hp 2.0-L four-cylinder engine. It is a blast to drive with either the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission that you can get with paddle shifters. The MX-5 is also fuel efficient. It gets 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

The base 124 Spider trim, the Classica, starts out at $24,995 and the next trim up, the Lusso, has a starting price of $27,595.

Is there an electric convertible car for under $30,000?

How about a Smart Fortwo Cabrio? The two trim levels are called Passion and Prime. The Smart Fortwo Passion has a base price of $28,100, and the Prime starts at $29,100. It has a 70- to 80-mile range and can be fully charged in three hours when plugged into a 240-volt outlet. A 120-volt outlet can be used to charge the Fortwo, but it will take 16.5 hours. This is a nice little convertible that is very easy to maneuver, peppy and easy to park in nearly any spot.
